Hi!
Are there any 28mm cold war US infantry out there?
I know there are the mongrel US marines in M1 helmets. When did the M1 dissapear on US troops in Europe?
Are the gripping beast US rangers in the MoFo range suitable for the second half of the 1980's?
Are there any more ranges?
Thanks for all help!

The only others I know of are by Eureka. But they are all in MOPP suits. Lots of Soviets out there, but short on adversaries at the moment.

I turned in my steel helmet in 1986. I'd been on a long TDY and there was comment that I was very near the end of the changeover.
While I'm thinking of it, they were still issuing OG field jackets--that is, NOT BDU--as late as fall 1983. I don't know when the official "wear by" date was, but I don't remember seeing them in Germany by 1986, and field wear tended to lag official issue. (Boots were another story. Unbelievable variety.)

You might want to find figures you like and start your "cold war gone hot" to match them. Good figures can be harder to find than a pretext for hostilities.

Killer B Games do cold war Americans in M1 helmets with M14s in their Invasion X range. They are available in the U.S. from Recreational Conflict.

The badger.
I ordered from you yesterday!
But you only have US troops in M1 helmets.

Wish I'd bought more of these when they were originally available in the UK. Adding 25% for shipping, then 20% on top of that total for VAT on import plus £8.00 GBP for the Post Office to fill in the forms, it starts to get expensive.
