Do you have and game with canine miniatures? A – Some companion dogs on bases with other figures B – Work dogs on bases with other figures C – Stand alone domesticated breeds D – Stand alone work dogs E – Stand alone wild dogs F – Prehistoric dogs. Rawr! G – Monster dogs (but not werewolves or anthromorphs – just beasts) H – Robodogs! … any I missed? I've got A-H, but not a lot, so I reuse my wild dog pack for any breed. |

I made up some Russian tank killer dog teams for Flames of War. I used them as Early War (Barbarosa) "unarmed pioneers" with Peter Pig 15mm figures. Being a small unit and Conscript, they were useless in Assault. As one might expect. |

B-- dogs intermingled on the 15mm DBM Serbian Empire hordes elements. I got inspired after a member of our gaming group built an Inca army just for the allied Spanish wardogs. |

I try to give each battalion, at least, a mascot dog or other animal that provides a morale bonus. My Wehrmacht Indian Legion gets a peacock, the national bird of India, most of my units get various dogs, but also cats, birds also make an appearance. Many of my guard figures have a guard dog to protect the POWs or the missile complex. Mike Bunkermeister Creek bunkermeister.blogspot.com |

My 25mm Vargr figures don't count, I suppose. I have a couple of NATO military police with dogs in 1/72 from, if I recall correctly, Airfix. I've never actually used dogs in a miniatures game. They've shown up in various RPGs, of course. |
