I hope the title isn't too cumbersome, but I am in need of some miniature manufacturers who make some pre-made wizard's or Mage's staffs. I have the minis, but I needs staffs for them. I've tried to scratch build the the staffs, but it doesn't look satisfactory. As far as appearance, I would vastly prefer them to have a crystal on the end. Heres a pic of what I was thinking: link |

I tried green stuff and some piano wire; it didn't work out as well as I had hoped. |

Have you tried melting the end of the plastic rod to give "wizards Knob" on the end of his staff ;) I made about 50 toadstools using a similar technique ages ago. Just twirl the end near a candle/tealight, but be careful as, flames, thin plastic rods, toxic fumes and hair/beard = Darwin award :P |

Palewarrior Thanks now I've got "A Wizard Staffs Got a Knob on the End" and the "Hedgehog Song" rattling around in my head!! ;-) Fatman |

Mick the Metalsmith: Ha, I probably should have been. little more clear with the title… Well, besides Dark Fable, it doesn't look like anyone really makes fantasy Wizard staves in 28mm. Thats odd; someone should fix that. Let me know if y'all have any other ideas. |

Super sculpy, and heated and stretched plastic sprues, sharp exacto knives and some sandpaper to put on the facets. You can even make a mold of your best crystal to make duplicates. I know you said you disliked your scratch built but this really isn't that hard. Try a new technique. |

GARS, did you see the link that Whitphoto put up for the various reaper packs? Within those two pages of weapon packs there are at least 6 Wizard staffs of various types. Not sure if any have crystals on the end, but filing whatever is there into a crystal shape is easy enough. |

Something else to consider for a crystal tip is to go to the bead selection. Some of the smaller, plastic ones have facets and can look quite a bit like a crystal, even unpainted and added in the end. |

Borathan: I think I wil do that, since that may be my cheapest and easiest option. |
