In my research for piecing out my 1:48 scale Tiger I diorama project, I was searching for some additional personality figures, specifically German crew/soldiers in winter clothing.

On Ebay I kept coming across resin figures made by a man/company called J. Peddinghaus.

It appears that they made/make resin military figures as well as some vehicles and a line of military decals.

Stuff is sold all over Ebay and on other hobby sites but curiously I couldn't find an actual link to him or to his site directly. Searching the name was also difficult because Peddinghuas is also the name of an industrial machine company which was coming up in the Google search results.

Is this a company that is still in operation, or is all this stuff just left over vintage before they closed up shop?

I've made 1 of the 54mm figures in the past, which was excellent quality. I got mine from Historex Agents in the UK. Can't help on their current status.

I am half-sure there where "Peddinghaus" miniatures adverts in my old Military Modelling magazines from the 80's.

I could check, but I doubt the contact details would be the same now…
