Russ, amazing technique! I wish I understood how you paint – it looks so fluid, and as if you're applying paint quickly, but the results are stupendous! I don't think that quickly as I paint, and not so to be able to understand what the end results will render (wonderful, developed proficiency, and a "connection" to your brush is all I can surmise)……enjoyed seeing your other projects on your blog too. |

Thanks guys all comments are much appreciated. Sascha thank you, its always nice to hear from someone who's work you've admired for many a year. FlyXwire, thank you also, I have done a number of step by steps or tutorials for a better word. It may give you a insight to how I paint. They aren't the best but it may help. Here's the Waffen-SS tutorial link and here's the link to my photobucket, just scroll down and view another album there are plenty to choose from link foxweasel, sorry! I hate to say it but there are more on their way. A few more heavy support weapons and hopefully soon some armour. So thanks guys, every comment is warmly welcomed Keep looking and I will keep posting Cheers for now Russ |

What paints do you use for your oak leaf camo? If you don't mind me asking? |

Johnbear44, normally I use vallejo colours for ww2 but for the oak leaf I used GW. I basecoat the smock in Dryad bark mixed with a tad of black. The green patches are Elysian green, highlighted with a touch of while and for the lighter brown patches l use Gorthur brown, once again highlighted with a touch of white. I'm actually doing a step by step tutorial on the oak leaf camo which shouldnt take to long to do. Hope that helps, if not just ask I'm always willing to help. |

Thanks guys, I'm almost ready to kick on with more additions for my collection. I've being building more plastic panzer grenadier's from Warlord, they will be painted in a mix of field grey and pea dot. Just to add that bit more variety. |
