Hi all Well its the last day of December and I am not going to complete anything else today so here is the final count…… Last months update TMP link December figs Bought – 699 (6mm Colonials) Painted – 117 (6mm colonials and WWII tanks) The plan for 2017 was as follows
"Well the plan this year is simple – To achieve a balance of +500 painted figures by the end of the year. So if I dont buy anything all year I have a monthly target of 42 figures" So how did I do??? The plus points – twice this year I had met my target – I painted 500 figures more than I had bought and THEN …… Its all that nice man at Baccus's fault. I have had a colonial project on the go since 2011 so I took the plunge in December and bought the last figures I should need for a game next year (Ive got 3047 figs painted over the years!!!!) so my pledge was destroyed on the 1st weekend of December – so close!!!! Final totals Bought – 1536 Painted – 1443 YEARLY balance – Minus 93 (OOPS) 2018 plan 1) Get the colonials done!!! 2) Continue with the WWII projects 3) End the year with +500 unpainted figures less than I start the year with. Happy new Year :-) MH |

So … do I have to have a plan or just put myself on report once a month with bought and painted? |

etotheipi, I don't have much of a plan, and I tend to just join in. Some months, nothing happens. Some months are just too embarrassing to report on. December has just not been a good month for painting. I painted away until about 15 minutes before midnight, when I went down to watch the Times Square New Years on TV. Of course, the real problem was getting ready for Christmas for most of the month, leaving me little or no time to paint. I received 15 people figures and two mules from a Black Friday sale. I painted 10 figures and two horses, and I sold off 28 figures, which makes it a positive month, with 21 figures fewer to paint than I had at the beginning of the month! For 2017, I purchased 98 humans and the two mules, and painted 119 humanoids (a couple months ago I painted several troll types) and nine horses, so it was a positive year, not even counting the 28 figures I sold off. In 2018, I hope to finish up painting my Dark Ages figures, and do to Colonials. I also hope to do some pulp era figures. Grelber |

Painted 127 Bought 128 I think that counts as an honourable draw really because the nice Early War Miniatures people insist on including 2 crew in their Bautepanzer so each vehicle counts as 3 figures; otherwise I would be ahead! I am happy with my progress this year – far more time-consuming 28mm and less quick WWII 20mm in 2017. I look to get down from ca. 400 unpainted to <300 in 2018. |

December and 2017 Final total: Bought 47 (about half Ion Age,with most of the rest being Firestorm Armada stuff) Painted 9 (8 Firestorm Armada Aquans and a WizKids primed griffin) Year-to-date totals: Growth -406 Painted 34 Not the most productive year I've had, but not the worst, either. My Pledge is to paint half of my collection growth, which I succeeded at this year due to the collection actually shrinking. Selling piles of stuff at local games flea markets to someone who will love them more than I would is the cheap way to do this, but I'll take it. My Pledge for 2018 will remain the same: paint half of my collection growth. |

2017 was a pretty lame year; not much bought, not much painted, not much played. I'm either going to have to grow a few clones, move towards a gamer population, or find another hobby. Planning on attending more cons! Bought 44 Painted 53 So at least I'm still in the black reducing the lead pile! |

2017 was a challenging year because I moved, which was a 7 month process from start to finish. I've been very busy over the holidays, but I did manage to get a few figures done. Year totals: Started with 258 in the pile. Painted/Traded/Sold: 178 Bought/Acquired: 85 End the year with 165 in the pile. My 2018 goals: - Finish my Ral Partha Chaos Wars armies (Sea Elves mostly, a few Land Elf cavalry and creatures/monsters/leader figures) - Get to 0 in the pile! I can do this in 2018. - Try to survive the next Ral Partha/Chaos Wars Kickstarter coming in 2018. - Make more terrain. Congrats everyone for participating! |

Painted 20 zouaves bought 30 ACW cavalry 30 ACW Casualty figures for F&F markers 6 jeeps 40 jeep crews Totals bought 106 painted 20 for -86 for the month. Yearly total as of November 234 painted -86 bought in December for a final figure of +146 painted for the year. which is 57 figures better than I did in 2016. I am still going in the right direction. I have reduced the lead pile. I am hoping to make a greater reduction in 2018. I hope everyone has a happy, healthy and prosperous new year. Thanks Monkey Hanger, keep pointing us down the path. |

2017 was a weird year and left little time for painting though I did manage a lot of gaming. Luckily purchasing was down as well so I added less to the pile than normal. YTD Purchased: 130 YTD Painted: 30 |
