Here is my review of the Tim Mee recon Patrol set – 2 armored cars. They have an exotic look that would fit many sci-fe genre games. These would be good for sci-fi gaming in the 50mm to 60mm scales. They look great with Star Wars and Galaxy Laser Team figures. And for Star Trek, imagine them as Klingon land vehicles in green with light green and dark yellow trim. They have the look! link Enjoy and please share. |

Very interesting vehicle – wondering why it wasn't done with the 3 axles as that would look even better, however nice model with lots of uses:) |

Three axles would have been cool. That is what the original Lockheed vehicle had. The design is exotic enough to suit many genre of Sci-Fi. Imagine how one might be painted for the Federation, the Klingons, Romulans or Andorians, perhaps. With paint and a few cosmetic additions, these cars would be super for sci-fi. |

I bought one of these in beige many years ago. Whatever flat finish paint I put on it turned out glossy! It was very strange. I did everything right -- washed it in warm water with dish soap to de-grease, dried overnight, primed with flat white acrylic -- which dried glossy! I think I still have it in a box somewhere. |

I got a box of 12 of these sitting in the room upstairs. I got them for a few reasons. I like the 6 wheel idea as well. One was kitbashed for the Death Race at BOYL 2015. Looks real good. Anyone looking for some send me a PM or email add at my handle through a o l. If someone has some of these done up please post them her for us all to see. Grimm |
