"Fantasy horror thriller film directed and written by Kimble Rendall (who worked previously as a second unit director on Matrix movies and I, Robot), has the story which revolves around a team of scientists who lose a colleague in an ancient labyrinth while trying to make the discovery of a century. The group must battle their way through a swarm of deadly, man-eating funnel web spiders and discover the secret behind the insects' power and intelligence. An innocent discovery of a well preserved mummified Emperor from 200 BC China unearths a 2000 year old nightmare – a secret that should have remained buried."

I'm interested in playing Starfire on a tactical level using miniatures. I got ahold of the Starfire Miniatures Rules demo on Wargame Vault, but I've heard that the second edition is a much better set of rules. Could someone please point me in the right direction?

Looks like our posts got mashed together.

2nd edition is more comprehensive. Fighters are included so you don't have to have Starfire I and II.

Ditto what Hey You said.

Thirded- 2nd Edition is my personal favorite.

Having asked the same question of late, and followed the advice given, I'd echo it – 2nd edition. Clean, easy to use, not too bogged down in too much chrome.

Still love the first edition, but if you're comparing second with anything else, here here.

However, I'm not a Star Fleet Battles player, and later Starfire editions will appeal if you want more involved play, and explanations.

Best in this case does require knowing what appeals.
