Napoleonics has one!! Why can't we? I have 6mm 1859-1871 Europeans and a whole load of ACW … and whilst I'm here can we have a 6mm ACW Board?

Happy New Humbugs to you lot, keep the abuse coming ;-)

Can't even get any abuse at this festive time!! What a miserable bunch …

Was there a secret poll about this somewhere?

No idea but I'm all up for a 6mm 19th C board as well.

Considering the size of most battles and the scale of most rules sets and minimal uniforms, 6mm makes a lot of sense.

6 mm is a brilliant scale. I am currently building up my FPW armies in 6 mm in 1:20 scale – almost at 2 corps pr side. I am going to play in a terrain scale of 1:3000, which mean that mediumsized battles or part of larger battles can be played in detail. For me the fun in this period is in the tactical detail – when is skirmishers deployed, when do battalion columns deploy into company columns etc.

But do we need a separate board – it is not like we are overwhelmed with posts on this board.

Well the four of us can have a board, can' we? It won't take up much space only being 6mm in total.

I'm in.

I'm currently working on Corps for Italian Wars of Independence and Austro Prussian War so I'm definitely interested. My colleague has FPW Corps as well so I'd give it a double thumbs up from us.

Bill had a vote with a few people and that is that!! However, if we keep badgering we could get it back on the agenda …

Why isn't there simply a 6mm board that covers all periods, not just Napoleonic? It would get used more, a lot more than one limited to certain other periods than Napoleonic (which must be the most popular period going bar WW2)

I use 6mm a lot and I'm a bit against it being compartmentalised on it's own.

After all, how are we going to demonstrate to all those 28mm'ers how great 6mm is if all our stuff is stuck out in it's own echo chamber on a separate board! integration I say!

I would say getting a dedicated 6mm should be the first step. Once that has come into being and is seen to be well supported and a popular board, then you can try and branch out with 6mm boards for specific periods.

I'm in. All my collections are 6mm.
