Going to see Star Wars doesn't really count.

But on TV I watched A Christmas Story. The usual.

But I also watched Gunpowder on HBO.
My son laughed when he saw me watching it. What a Christmas movie!

Saw the Man who made Christmas at the theater. It's a wonderful movie and well worth seeing.

I certainly want to see that one too ! Kind of like the prequel to " A Christmas Carol" I'd think …

Christmas on 34th street, the B&W original (1949?). The remake is blech, no magic! Also a Charlie Brown Christmas, and the Rankin and Bass Rudolph.

My wife and son watched the first three Die Hards.

All on VHS.

Classic Christmas films, Its a Wonderful Life, A Christmas Carol (1951), Miracle on 34th St. Now I have a load of Hitchcock classic lined uo in the DVR for viewing during the week.

I don't have a TV, but I went to the cinema to see SW, but ended up watching Paddington 2 instead; good film. Watched the Sim version of A Christmas Carol/Scrooge on my PC, and that's it. Painted 10 28mm figures though grin

A Christmas Carol (Scott), Miracle on 34th Street, The Cowboys, and a few bits and pieces of other John Wayne movies on AMC's John Wayne Christmas.

I started my family watching the March of the Wooden Soldiers from 1934 and now my kids love to watch it every year, they have just as much fun watching it as I did when I was young.

USAFpilot26 Dec 2017 9:44 a.m. PST

A Christmas Story, mainly just because it was on; but it is a Christmas classic and fun to watch.

We binge watched "Shetland" on Netflix.

Plots are "Meh" but the history and geography are spectacular.

Shetland Bus………..now there's a story!!

Dynaman878926 Dec 2017 1:14 p.m. PST

Moving into a new house the last couple weeks so things are hectic still. Got to watch Charlie Brown and A Christmas Story last night. Taped the Dr. Who special and hope to watch it tonight after the flooring is done.

wrgmr126 Dec 2017 3:00 p.m. PST

My wife is a rom-com person, so a couple of Harlequin Christmas movies and Love Actually.

hedeby26 Dec 2017 5:24 p.m. PST

'National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation' and 'Die Hard'.

Jeigheff26 Dec 2017 5:34 p.m. PST

Two weeks ago, I saw National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation in the theatre! (Alamo Drafthouse, Austin, Texas.) Instead of a Christmas party, our employer offered us a choice of one of two movie days: Justice League on Tuesday or Christmas Vacation on Wednesday. We got the afternoon off for either movie. This experience probably wasn't as profitable as a real Christmas bonus, but we took what we could get.

I'd like to see "New Year's Evil" again in the days to come, but my wife doesn't want to see it. Go figure!

Original "Miracle on 34th Street," "The Christmas Story," and, guilty pleasure, a "Dexter' marathon. My favorite "Christmas Carol" (1938 Reginald Owen) was shown at 3 am and I didn't want to lose the sleep!

Narratio26 Dec 2017 8:00 p.m. PST

Nothing, I was working and had a week long game of Civ6 on the laptop back in my room.

Managed to see Doctor Who on Boxing day though.

The Beast Rampant26 Dec 2017 8:14 p.m. PST

Probably just "A Christmas Story" (as a "whole" movie, maybe twice total, in scattered chunks- as is the proper fashion).

I watched "Serinity" again maybe the 21st?

It's been a off year, with everyone coming off being badly sick with a virus (save the lit'lun, thankfully).

The Beast Rampant26 Dec 2017 8:49 p.m. PST

But I also watched Gunpowder on HBO.
My son laughed when he saw me watching it. What a Christmas movie!

Well, that HAD been my plan, too. grin

JimSelzer26 Dec 2017 10:41 p.m. PST

King Kong all 3 versions

Toy Story 3
Bright

Didn't bother too much with TV this year, loads of dross on.

Winston Smith27 Dec 2017 9:52 a.m. PST

If we're still considering last night "the holidays", then I watched Bright on Netflix.
You've seen it all before. A cop dreaming of retirement has a partner forced on him who he can't stand. Except his new partner is an Orc.

Phil DAmato27 Dec 2017 10:18 a.m. PST

I spent the Christmas Holiday with family and taking care of my Dad. I was up all night with him and watched Dr. Strangelove, Gallipoli, Catch-22 and Lawrence of Arabia. Came home and watched Zulu with my wife.

Taped 'A Christmas Story, Live', but can only watch about 45 mins at a time before my brain starts to shut down (the Dr. Ken part was good. ;-) p.s I don't think the whole thing was presented 'live'…

Volleyfire27 Dec 2017 3:33 p.m. PST

Nothing, been working every day as usual. Had to miss going to watch panto tonight because of work as well, which rather hacked me off.

Sargonarhes27 Dec 2017 4:09 p.m. PST
