I have been a big fan of Crescent Root's 15mm buildings since they first started production some years ago. I picked up all their original buildings for Normandy and was very pleased with the quality. More recently I picked up a load of their Middle Eastern range, including a rather marvellous fort. Although no longer produced in resin, those MDF buildings and accessories were outstanding. When I saw that this range has been discontinued, I decided I better grab their current Normandy range in case it also went out of production.

Anyway, I order the town set which includes 7 multi storied buildings, all with an optional bombed out top floor and a village mat to match. The items arrived today in Edmonton, Canada scarcely more than two weeks after the initial order was placed. I was delighted with the contents of the package. Everything was very well packed and easily survived the trip north. The buildings are robust with lots of detail and a superb paint job. Unlike most MDF buildings, these have none of those horrible joins or tabs visible to detract from the appearance. The village mat on which the buildings sit is made from material and is also nicely detailed. The mat is not a necessity as each building comes with a base but it is a very nice addition and will look good on the tabletop.

Anyway, Crescent Root is top of the line in my book and I hope they continue to produce new ranges in 15mm.

They seem to be discontinuing one line at a time and slowly replacing them. I liked the buildings their replacing very much and hope the future buildings have the same appeal.

I thought this was going to be about some model rocks they made.
