Their heads are so big, and yet, the Panzer hatches are so small… ;-) |

GuP isn't Utter Drivel — It's Weird War II, or something like that =^,^= |

It's not war at all, it's sports! |

Somewhere or other I saw 1/72 and 15mm GuP crew figures. One set was a resin garage kit from Japan, but the other was made by a company in the US or UK. They didn't call them "Girls und Panzer" for obvious copyright reasons, but Panzer Girls or some such. In any case, still one of the greatest anime franchises ever IMHO. The girls in the link are Darjeeling, Kay, and Anchovy |

Yes, Company B has a lovely 15mm set listed under their AVF Crews section suitable for any girls' tank-sport: companyb.biz The 6-part theatrical release of Girls und Panzer das Finale began this month in Japan is doing great at the box office: link |

Thanks for the link Minimo. The decal sets are also great. I even see Maginot, who appear in Finale. I'm looking forward to seeing what national stereotypes are used for the French-themed team. |

Maginot already had its own spin-off manga. Their school tradition had been to dig into defensive positions; and then get pounded by their opponent. New team captain, Éclair, tries to develop a new Saint-Cyr style mobile cavalry tactic! BC/Freedom features heavily in the spin-off Ribbon Warrior manga. They are 2 small schools placed on 1 aricraft carrier because the are both French-themed cultural schools. Sadly, one is Vichy and one is Free French — they compete as a single team, but don't get along very well! |

The Company B decals are great! But the sizes are an odd mix of sizes on each sheet. Some of the sizes on the 15mm sheets are too small (would be good for 10mm), some of the sizes on the 28mm sheet are good for the larger insignia on 15s. I've detailed which ones work best for 15s on the blog: goblinhall.com/tag/decals Hmm, I need to catch up on the blogging and add the other teams that have been finished. I've been working on other projects the last few months and will return to GuP modelling sometime in the coming year. |
