Wow, I love your terrain and basing. Great job. I was wondering if you could comment on your terrain. I really like the terrain board and hills. |

Wow that was pretty easy once how I googled it! The mat is a cigar box 6x4' desert with 6"grids. You can read about the basing etc here link |

With a largely open battlefield do the rules offer enough in the way of tactical decisionmaking – eg trying to outwit each other each turn, or is it mainly obvious moves at this high/operational level? |

Nice, subdued effect on each base's nomenclature! |

Big fan of your basing and setup. I'm going 3mm and went for the same mat from Cigar Box. I will have to copy your Battle Axe scenario as I collected my forces for Brevity and and the other sample scenario. Thanks for the inspiration! |

With a largely open battlefield do the rules offer enough in the way of tactical decisionmaking – eg trying to outwit each other each turn, or is it mainly obvious moves at this high/operational level? I found it not obvious at all. My opponent did a great job of blocking my advance by setting up a pretty thorough ZOC which I missed until I tried to advance. The use of the OPS dice also really pushes up the tactical decision making. I am going to have a pretty tough day 3, as I have few forces and have a lot of territory to try to hold to prevent the British advance. This is a great ruleset for the open terrain of the North African theatre of WWII. |
