Hi, I'm new here and would appreciate advisement. When basing 25mm British ARW/AWI figures per the OFM's generic basing recommendations for ARW, where should one place the Sgt., Drummer, and Standard Bearer? How 'bout Colonials, some w/Fife? Thanks in advance for any suggestions

First off, I would not call "my" basing system "generic".
It just grew from my dissatisfaction with scale creep, and more generally, nice BYU active poses. They simply did not fit on the original base sizes for the 1776 rules.
My method has 3 figures on a 2"X1" base. Obviously, one stsnd is the command stand, with an officer, musician and standard bearer on it. This becomes problematic when I have 2 standards in a battalion/regiment. Then, I put 2 standard bearers on a stand with an officer in the middle. Flanking stands have two hatmen and a drummer, one on the right and one on the left.
But this is my method.

I've noticed that most new rules have stands with 2 ranks. I don't like that look, since it makes the formation look denser than it should.
My method works for those rules by simply doubling stands.

If you have fifers as well as drummers, sergeants as well as officers, simply spread them around.

Most folk use a single command stand. Put them anywhere that is pleasing to your eye.

On one command Stand, Commander and flag bearer in front with the flag on the right of the Officer/Commander. Drummer and fifer behind them.

Fine, but the OP is asking how to base with the OFM's basing system. grin That ain't it.
Yours works for British Grenadier, though.

Mr. Smith, thank you! Ironwolf and 79th PA, thanks to you also for the advice. If you have any further suggestions, please fire away. Do you have any thoughts to share re basing Native Americans for AWI, or skirmishers? Thanks again, I've put the lessons to use and have been basing since yesterday

My OTHER basing system is on 3/4" OD washers for skirmish Games.
That's how I base Indians, artillerists etc.
and if you get PSA magnetic tape and glue them to my Masonite bases, they can be used in the first system.
