Just finished posting a battle report using the older version of A Call To Arms Star Fleet.

The scenario centers around the aftermath of the Setlik III incident where Cardassians attacked a Federation outpost and slaughtered most of the settlers.

This was played over a number of gaming sessions and involved two sides, the Cardassians and the Federation.

The scenario itself can be found here:

This was the first time I've been able to fully test run my home made Ship Data Cards for The Next Generation era.

Later events in the Cardassian / Federation War would see the Type II & Type III Galor and Keldon class cruisers introduced by the Cardassians to counter the more advanced Federation ship designs at that time. But this battle involves the most advanced ships the Cardassians possessed during the opening days of the war.

So see if a large bunch of smaller PC's, FF's and DD's can outclass a collection of Federation PC's, SC's, FF's, DD's, NCL's, NCLS, CL's and the mighty USS Hood (CA) NCC-1703.

Nice battle report. Looks like you had fun.

A few question about the minis. I can see the obvious Micromachines minis, are the Galor and Keldon minis MM repaints? Plus, is that a MM Constitution refit mini with an actual detachable saucer!? And what did you use for the Aerie, Akula and Debeb classes?

Would love to see close ups of all the minis individually. :)

Great looking ships

The mini's are a collection of different manufacturers.

The Galor and Keldon mini's are from HeroClix (same type can be bought also from Attack Wing). I used a thin wash of brown ink to darken the recesses. The Aerie is also a HeroClix mini. I washed that also in a brown ink and then did the highlights you can see on the mini.

The Hideki are from Studio Bergstrom. I'm using Stumners other ships for the Galor II and Keldon II classes and MicroMachines for the type III classes as they are each in turn slightly bigger than the other. This gives me the capacity to have FF, DD, and Cruiser sized vessels.

The Akula and Deneb are from Shapeways. I don't believe that they are available any more, but others have made similar and so you should be able to find them at Shapeways if you dig a little.

The USS Hood is a MicroMachines Constitution refit (i.e. USS Enterprise model). I cut it with a knife just above the photon bay where the sail of the saucer section meets the secondary hull. I then attached very small (1mmx2mm if I remember correctly) rare earth magnets. Somewhere else on my blog has the details of this or at least close ups of the mini.

The Trident was a MicroMachines USS Reliant that I cut the nacelles off and super glued to another USS Reliant. So a scratch built MM mini. I used a dark ink wash on this one before doing highlights.

There should be more closer images of all this on my blog if you dig around.

I have indeed had a look around the blog. Nice pics. And nice blog. Thanks on the info on the minis. :)
