Anybody know of a good close enough or figure that could be converted? The right stocky blocky body could easily be worked with a decapitation and globe head sculpt. |

Yes that is the new current era of Sontaran. They were around first in the '70's. Very stocky less streamlined.
If I knew how to post pics, I'd put up some pics of mine. As I was trying to make the old Sarah Jane 4th Doctor era version, I used the 15mm Alternative Armies old Laserburn figures. The Imperial Guard troopers. They come with a separate backpack so you can use them on something else. There are helmeted versions and bareheaded versions. Didn't need conversions. In Spaceballs that means Dark Helmet was a Sontaran, who knew!
