I think that it looks quite useful. The US/European power difference might be a problem but can be overcome.

Looked at this, and also some similar styles of sewing lights, all using LED's. The sewing lights were particularly nice, articulated arms, and high quality of manufacture and design… They clocked in at $99 USD for a similarly sized example, comparable to this light!!!

For what it is, the price is decent. However, I think investing in two LED bulbs, and two tabletop lamps to hold said bulbs, would be a better investment. The idea behind this light configuration is to eliminate shadows, while you are painting. I suspect this light does that rather well, but I could achieve the same effect with desk lamps, and LED bulbs in said lamps, for similar pricing, but getting more Lumens, over a wider area, and better overall illumination of my painting table space. YMMV. Cheers!
