Part 1 of an AAR on a fictional battle up on my blog. Campaign is a solo effort using mainly 6mm figs.

That looks very much like a Napoleonic battle field should. Well done.

Do you mind if I add a single carp?
The white rocks look totally out of place.
I'd suggest either you paint them (if you can drybrush them at least 3 shades of grey) or buy some Scenics etc model railway rocks (pre-painted & made of plaster).

The layout is far too good to be spoiled by those white rocks.

Thanks for your comments folks. Impressive white rock there Nashville, Lol. I know what you mean Ochoin. They were a stop gap as I gradually built up my terrain collection which includes rocky landscapes. That said I was lazy with the hill at the rear of the French lines! I am hoping that within the next 12 months they are phased out completely.

Grymauch, can I get your basing scheme for your 6mm. I have a similar one? 6mmnappies.blogspot.com

Milkshake…. All infantry are 15mm x 15mm 6 to a base. I had experimented with skirmishers but decided it was just too fiddly in this scale. Cav are 20mm frontage x 15mm 3 to a base. Artillery 15mm frontage x 20mm. I started using 2mm thick mdf bases but felt that the thickness was just a little too much so have used artist card which is just over 1mm thick. Being a solo gamer I do not have to worry too much about figure handling! Like your figs by the way. Having smaller bases gives you much more versatility in a game I feel.
