Chum Andrew Brentnall has painted and based a regiment of the new Baccus 6mm minis for our coming For King and Parliament rules. The base is one of my irregular Batbases, just over 12cm wide.

'Cos the rules are grid based, units and bases can be any shape or based for any rule system. Below is the Royal standard, very appropriate as we are off to Nottingham tomorrow, where it was first raised.

thumbs up

Thanks Simon,

Actually, the base is only 65mm wide!

Best,

Andrew

Astonishing; incredible what one can do in the smaller scales. That's one of the mounted command bases, then, they are tiny!

Mollinary13 Dec 2017 7:53 a.m. PST

Sorry, Simon, but in the command base pack I bought there are 6 of these, and six which are half the width, all but circular. I think the latter are the cavalry command!

Best,

Andrew

Yes that's the one, from the command base pack.

I can only marvel that I now have you:-

a) chamfering
b) flocking!

;-)

Best, Simon

All Andrew's work this time, I can only take credit for the base design.

Absolutely beautifully done, Mollinary. The basing is amazing.

Thanks ‘Guillaume' . Funnily enough the basing is really simple. It involves using one of Simon's clever, serrated edge bases, with edges sanded down to meet the table, with the Baccus basing system, using only the wash, base coat, and top coat. I cannot recommend this system enough, for figures from 6mm through to 15mm. It is clever, simple, and produces great results every time. It has revolutionised my basing.
