Haven't looked at this scale in ages, but I've been rereading Tank Battles in Miniature and Operation Warboard and they're taking me back to Xmases past. 1/76 Airfix and Matchbox, etc…

Back then I used Hinchliffe (yuck) and Lamming (yucker). What's out there now?

Andy ONeill12 Dec 2017 1:05 p.m. PST

Ab miniatures are the best.

Who sells those in the U of K?

edit: found 'em – Fighting15s.

Interesting.

Any other suggestions?

Does anyone still do Lammings? You looked at the proportions and you knew why ze Germans lost.

Lammings are with ERM. I think you'll find them in among their Platoon 20 listings on their web site

Check out the WWII page on PSR too: link

Adler does some nice Pz. Lehr type figures.
AB are excellent, in Piers Brands photo.

Id reckon 20mm is rather well endowed these days.

I haven't got around to…. well anything much but writing code… for a while now.
But.
Leon's stuff is well worth a look.
I didn't see shq mentioned. Extensive range.
Some plastics are pretty good. Two downsides are the time to cut the flash off bendy plastic and the limited poses and weapon mix.

Also Wartime Miniatures in Australia have some nice figures.

Are there are any that are a bit undersized? I find chunky metals can look overscale next to tanks even when they are the correct height…

Andy ONeill13 Dec 2017 12:12 p.m. PST

Shq are accurately proportioned ( and hence weapons can arguably be a little on the fragile size. )
And of course bendy plastics.
