I've done some searching both here and on the net and have not found a satisfactory answer.

Plenty of info on the uniforms but not much on the guns.

I've read every thing from dark gray to muddy brown.

What color have you painted your Transvaalse Staatsartillery pieces?

Here is how I painted mine. A little hard to see though. I went with gray.

Grey seems like a good guess. I've heard they smeared mud on the guns sometimes to reduce shine and help camouflage. So maybe a reddish brown wash over grey for Boer guns?

Looks like gray it is.
