Earlier I asked abut buildings but what about figure bases?
I have three 28mm figures to a base. The bases have green ground cover on them. Do I just dip in Woodland Scenics snow, baking soda, a combination of the two or something else? How hard is it to remove?

I have a mixture of different snow mixes that I used to sprinkle on my winter/snow gaming mat, buildings/town scenes and bases. I simply put the mix in a low sided box and take each base of figures and run the base part back and forth in the mix (keeps it on the base and not the figures), and I knock off a some of the excess. I repeat with all bases. Thus everything blends in for the game.

When the game is done and I am ready to go back to my original basing color, I knock off the excess and then take the figures outside as a group and use canned air to "blow off" the excess.

This practice has worked like a charm for me.
