Talented ship modeller (and former TMPer), Volunteer, has posted pictures of his latest build on his blog:

Excellent work. And a blog worth keeping an eye on.

Thanks for the post.

I miss seeing his work here. He is one of the best ship modelers around. I miss his photo's, his comments and help in this hobby. Sad he cannot post here. As you can see from the above photo this site is all the poorer for being Vol-less.
I vote too let him back in. If he will come?

Well, he certainly did justice to the model! Very nice.

His profile here says he lives in Spokane, so he must come to Enfilade. Another reason you should make the trek. :-)

I hadn't noticed Vol was banned from TMP. Sad.

Vol was banned? I missed that too.

Nice ship and well built.

I do not know if Vol's account was locked by an editor or if he self-locked it by stifling an editor; all I know is that there was some difference of opinion about the way the site was being run.

I'm still in touch with Vol via papermodelers.com. He apparently doesn't hold a grudge of any kind, because he readily agreed to let me post his work here, when I asked.

Cool, another site to visit for papermodeling. I see a lot of cool projects on there!

Sadly, I am a gamer who likes to use cardmodels, not a modeler first, so I can only marvel at things like Vol's ship, or the aircraft model I just saw on papermodels.com.

It like the difference between Thoroughbred's little miniature gems and the Peter Pig pirate ships – I love to look at the gems but I'll USE the clunkier game pieces…

Yes Vol is a master craftsman.

You can find his description of events leading up to his departure here:

He had posted a message telling people why he was leaving, but it was deleted.

Well now. It appears age and memory have struck again! I follow whitejamest link to find a comment left on the blog by my very self!

I love Vol's work. Between him and Julian, I have serious inadequacy issues…
