Looks like they are taking the plunge into 28mm. Interested to see if they move onto the other series and films. I suppose it all depends on the take up.

Very cool, although I hate the transparent plastic "effects" like Sulu's sword arc. Also, I hope they make a Sulu wearing a shirt.

Cacique Caribe08 Dec 2017 7:38 a.m. PST

Is that really 28mm though?

Dan
PS. For those to whom 32mm is the new 28mm:

They show a Sulu brandishing a phaser further down…

These generally look like good likenesses of the original characters.

popularcollections.com has individual figures for sale. As you may have guessed the actual figures look very different (in a bad way) form those pictured at the link above.

I wonder how these scale against the Modiphius figures? Always found Heroclix figures to vary in height.

Looking at the paint jobs on the individual figures, I can foresee lots of repaints!

If it's the original series, it's not an Away Team, it's a Landing Party, consarn it!!!!

PaddySinclair08 Dec 2017 10:50 a.m. PST

Those are looking rather nice :)

They need to do the Gorn though, just saying…

HEssss the ssssecond figure from the right on the top row…and he is super rare or something like that.

Vigilant08 Dec 2017 11:48 a.m. PST

Would like to see them in the flesh before deciding, but if all they need is a repaint to improve the faces then they could be very useful. I'd get rid of the bases though and use my own choice of rules.

Hoping they dip into the animated series, lot of cool stuff in there

How did I miss him there?!? Awesome :) I guess I wasn't thinking boulder just green…

Leslie's got a figure! And Kyle! Woot!

Cacique Caribe09 Dec 2017 12:57 a.m. PST

Lol. It took me so long to get used to that term, "Away Team".

I was thinking that CMG figure quality had gone up several notches in quality since I'd last looked! And then I clicked on the link, normal service is resumed…. Still if you're not fussy a potentially useful collection.

I need to paint all my 15mm and 28mm ST figures first, before I buy another vendor's stuff.
