I "need" to do another Hessian Regiment. It's pointless to ask why. You know the feeling.
This one has to be a musketeer Regiment and have red facings, and also must have seen a lot of action.
Any suggestions?
I have Grenadiers covered in my generic converged battalion.

Of course I could do him as Brunswick Regiment von Specht and pretend he's Hessian as needed, or Anspach with the funky flag but…
That's just command stand swapping.
What Hessian Regiment should I pretend this generic unit will be?

Don't know what they did in the AWI but Erbprinz were pretty good in 1793.

Erbprinz was the first Hessian regiment I painted, but as pink facings fusiliers.
I'm looking for red facing musketeers with a good number of battles under their belt.

Erbprinz became a red faced musketeer regiment in 1780 or 81.

Why do I need 2 Erbprinz regiments?
grin
I have one already.

No pleasing some people!
They get red facings, they fought lots of battles, they're not just pink any more!

Prinz Carl had red facings and fought in White Plains and the capture of Newport, Rhode Island.

Who, other than the Jagers, would you classify as "hard fighting"? Didn't the British essentially coddle them because of the costs (blood money) and stick most of them in garrison?

von Mirbach maybe?

Don't forget to file their teeth.

At a certain point (post Fort Mercer?) The British became less enthusiastic about the ability of the slow marching German soldiers often led by older officers.
