Ken Lambing, owner of the Hobby Shop, died due to complications from liver disease at a local hospital in St. Louis, MO on the morning of December 6th.

I got into gaming at his old gaming shop in South Saint Louis in 1990. I originally bought WH40K space marines and eldar. I also bought SPACE: 1889 British and Martian infantry, too. I was hooked from then with WH40K and Victorian historical wargaming as I spread out to Zulus and Egyptians.

Ken and I loved WWI. I wrote a 20mm house rules set called "No-Man's-Land" in order to have a decent rules set for the period (because there was none commercially available). I still have it. But my 20mm WWI figures have been long sold…

Et lux perpetua…

Thanks for posting, Blake. Ken's shop gave us a place for a lot of enjoyment and friendship. He was a good man.
