Less than a week left -- only four days now -- to join the KickStarter for Volume 8 of the Wally Simon's Secrets of Wargame Design series, to be mailed in December 2017, and we anticipate in time for the holidays.

This time, I cull the pages of Wally Simon's articles for inspiration on naval warfare. The 8.5-inch by 11-inch booklet is 48 pages and offers ideas, concepts, and rules mechanics covering sea combat.

and watch the movie: it's only a minute and 20 seconds long. Not exactly Hollywood. :)

Since many of you don't want to use KickStarter, we plan on offering Volume 8: Naval Secrets of Wargame Design through US retailer onmilitarymatters.com and the UK retailer caliverbooks.com although there may be a delay.

"Undertable?" You've piqued my interest.

>"Undertable?"

Actually, literally under a table.

Hint: ping. ping. ping. :)

We're getting the proof back from the printer sometime today.

Still time to order your copy of Volume 8! The early bird special of $15 USD has been filled, but the $17 USD special is still available.

Kickstarter ends Tuesday, Dec 12, at 6:00pm EST.

And yes, sorry, the special for a full set one of Volumes 1-8 are gone.

Our intrepid design guru braved the snowstorm on Friday and picked up Vol. 8 at the printers.

Those who pre-ordered via KickStarter and paid the extra $1 USD for first-class postage had their volume mailed via US Postal Service on Saturday, so we expect them to receive their issues sometime this week.

As for our other KS backers, we're packaging up the volumes and expect to mail them this week sometime. Thank you for those who backed Volume 8.

For those in the UK, Caliver Books carries the series. Sorry, I don't know what the cost is in pounds. It may take a week or two for Volume 8 to get there, but I'm sure Dave will take a pre-order. caliverbooks.com :)

Finally, we also stock Volume 8 at Amazon.com, although listed at $19.95 USD, but most people will get free shipping.
