Just waiting for my Warfare in the Age of Reason Rule book to reach me. What is the base size foe line infantry in 15mm (12 fig)? |

I have the first edition but I don't think they could have changed. Anyway: infantry is 3/8" front per figure with 1/2" depth, Skirmishers: square base 1/2" and Cavalry 3/4" front and 1" depth. Hope that helps. Marco |

Adding to that, 3 infantry on a base, single rank, so 1 1/8" x 1/2" for close order. Skirmishers2 per base so 1" x 1/2". |

What do the metric people use? |

The metric people are Jacobins and worse. They use handbills, paid propagandists and guillotines. But they're subsequent to the Age of Reason. Dentwist, PM me with an address, and I can mail you a real ruler. But I bet 30mmx10mm for close order infantry, and 25mmx10mm for open order would be about right. Officially, figure 25mm/1 inch, but anyone who would insist on a custom 27mmX12.5mm infantry base is not someone I'd care to game with. |

We use 30mm square for infantry 4 figures in two ranks and 2 figures for cavalry. We keep track of numbers notionally as they are different from the rule book (a base of infantry counts as three figures for example). This means our figures fit in with other rule sets and existing armies. |

And while I have fond memories of AOR.. (my first horse and musket ruleset) the casting casualties removal wore thin and led to breakages. They're fun. But I had my limits. I rebased to might and reason/Maurice and haven't looked back |
