Nice review. I've been meaning to start an ATZ campaign for a while now. One day I was experimenting with a early outbreak scenario – a mom and her daughter have car trouble on a highway near the burbs, and a helpful cop pulls over to assist. Then they spot a pair of strange people walking down the middle of the road toward them…… The game was a bit nuts. The officer didn't recognize the zeds as zeds, but tries to order them to halt. Too late he realizes his mistake, fires his service weapon, but has no effect. The two zeds attack the cop, but he manages to knock one down and runs back to his car, pursued by the still standing zed. Meanwhile, the two shots fired by our hero attracts more zombies. I decided to use the rural level for zombie generation due to the early time frame. Now there are three more on the table heading for the two women. The ladies notice these people "crazed on bath salts," jump in their car and manage to start it and flee the scene. The horrible conclusion is that officer friendly reaches his car and gets inside just at the three new zeds reach him. He fires, kills one, but the other two, along with the pursuing zed, mob him and he is torn to shreds. The fallen zombie from earlier arrives just in time to eat. This was all played solo. |

rvandusen – that sounds like an awesome game and that's one of the things that I like about ATZ is the chaos and unpredictability of it all. Hahaha 'crazed on bath salts'. I haven't heard that one before. Thanks Ed. |
