"Open Question to Steve Jackson Games Re : Ogre Minis KS2" Topic

As a Canadian I am very PO'd I could not participate in the second KS for Ogre Minis and then a lack of a response when I emailed regarding this. Look I really don't care what the shipping costs I will pay it if its the product I want. I wanted the Too Many minis pack. Sure you offered us to by from the store without the KS extras. That's not what I want. I am considering dropping my support and selling all my Ogre just because were a second thought.

They started offering a pre-order option for international customers within a few days after the Kickstarter campaign began. Go back to the KS page, scroll down, and click the link.

I don't think it because you are Canadian. He might actually like Mounties and beards.

If he doesn't want to offer this KS outside of the USA that's up to him and he probably has better things to do with his time than sort things, that he clearly states are not available to 'foreign customers', out. Even I got that much info and I only visited his KS terms once for 5 minutes.

You could do as he asks, and get your product sent to someone in the USA – surely you know someone in the USA who you can use as a postal address – and get them to pass the KS stuff on to you. You don't mind the extra postage after all. He just doesn't want to bother with international postage, which can be a complete pain in the bum, and often not worth the profit.

Otherwise, scream and shout but, I think you are just going to have to suck this up.

I actually think I might just drop playing it and supporting the product line, not scream and shout.

Because they did not answer the email I sent 10 days ago.

He does read the SJG forums, and several of his staff read the BGG forums.

So what pieces do you want that you can't get through pre-order? I've got the $75 USD dollar level on order, and that's way too many minis for me in the long run.

You did write, "I could not participate in [it]," which is an absolute statement. You then wrote that you didn't care how much shipping was, if you could get the product you wanted. You never stayed, "I was locked out of the specific pledge level I wanted, but I could have pledged at an lower level. It's understandable that people replied the way they did.

Constructively, I agree with olicana: try to get around it by having it shipped to someone in the U.S., who will forward it to you.

Or just wait for them to show up on eBay…

Please let us know what you're going to sell. I might be interested in taking some of it off your hands.

My curiosity got the best of me and bought some sets from the first kickstarter. The ogres are fine , but the other items to me, were sub-par. I'll keep the ogres and use them, but proxy the other stuff. Not enough poses in the infantry, etc., etc. , while not fair to compare game pieces to models, there is better stuff out there. Just my $.02 USD worth.
