this question relates to the f104g only i understand correct me if i am wrong the f104g model was not used by the usaf as fighter it was produced under licence in europe question any one tell me (i assume it was germany)that made it operational first ,what was the date of entry in german airforce and if you have first squadron name? |

According to that article, Starfighters had been with Luft units since 1961, but it is non-specific about which version, they are only specific about the F-104G in the above quote. |

The RCAF used the CF-104, which was almost identical to the F-104G. It first entered service in December of 1962 with 427 Squadron based out of Zweibrucken in West Germany. |
