They do look fantasic but for 15mm? There are ways to print onto cloth so maybe that.

Just a question: why didn't you paint the flags first? Seems it makes it more difficult with the folds already in it. That being said , theses look fantastic. nice work.

I think you need to soak it in the PVA solution first to have it harden into a solid surface that the paint won't bleed into too much. And once that hardens the shape of the flag is fixed. So you need to make the folds at the same time as the PVA solution is applied. Painting has to come later. Just my guess.
