Warcradle's announcement for their combination of WWX and Dystopian Wars - YouTube link Any thoughts? |

I wish one of their miniatures sizes was 28mm and not 35mm. That said, I love the description of the setting of the game. |

Ewww… Wild West Exodus doesn't really match Dystopian Wars style. |

From what they have said so far on the video is that 35mm is staying. |

Wild West Exodus doesn't really match Dystopian Wars style. You said it – the merging of the "Compassion and science to halt the misuse of technology" Covenant of Antarctica with the "Science is neither good or evil and all is justified in the name of science and order" Covenant of the Enlightened has Really set some hackles up in the air, let me tell you. Rather like allying the US Marines with the Waffen SS IMHO. The biggest kick in the cojones to established players is the change in Armoured Clash: It's moving from 1/1200th to 10mm scale. This will invalidate about 2/3rds of existing models, something that Warcradle has consistently said they would NOT be doing ( And fair enough, *all* the naval ships will still retain the same scale and supposedly be useful ). That;'s been a huge talking point on the fora, and Warcradle's response has basically boiled down to "We chose 10mm for many reasons. Most of your models will still sorta work, so embrace the change. Plus which, 10mm is amazing looking and really cool". Here's an ironic side note; I first came to TMP to follow along the debacle caused by Heavy Gear's scale change and the resulting imbroglio between RAFM and Dream Pod 9. The more things change, eh? :( |

I have lost interest now. DW is dead. |
Covert Walrus | 03 Dec 2017 8:09 p.m. PST |
Well, not dead, Wargamer Blue, just moribund and knocked about. The Naval game does seem to be moving on – Though some of the factions have changed and the designs are a little . . . Odd, Warcradle has at least retained the play-ability of the game so far in their plans. But as a combined arms "Steampunk super-science" game? Perhaps. |
