Sky Relics Launches Fleet Action on KickStarter
kickstarter.com/projects/627279234/sky-relics-fleet-core Sky Relics is a battle fleet game, where players command fleets to do battle in the skies for their Nation or for glory and riches. Iron Sky Hulks soar through the clouds hunting the next battle as their barrels heat up with Shells ripping through the air slamming and decimating heavy armor. Life and death rages on in the skies high above Targus, but will you, brave hero, be one who truly lives?
With this exciting Sky Relics two player core box set, launch two mighty opposing factions with all the material you need to wage epic battles, including crafted ship miniatures with flight stands indicating firing arcs.

Nice looking game and great ships, but . . . Well, had a 50% fail rate on KS so far, and a huge failure at that. So, no. |

Cool idea, but the ship designs don't really speak to me. Something about them just doesn't appeal to my desires. Good luck! |

Try three and you are still playtesting the rules 2 years on? Some nice ideas, but not sure of the value add |

Biggest issue with the first KS was that they reached a point with such a big cash goal, and what they were planning it was much to big, he was trying to fund a whole business and company with a very large expansive project. Like a lot of early projects it was ambitious but not feasible. So he failed. The second one, he rushed it, went small but kept taking advice on what backers wanted with regards a game. Half wanted a fleet action style the other half wanted the RPG Port action style of game. So he kept trying to make a game that had everything, and it ended up with no one liking the game and the rules not working. Because he kept trying to please all the backers it was in honesty a mess. So when I offered to help with the art and illustration I took some of the other aspects and got him to rein it in and take his time this time, small project, get a few ships in production. The rules we have the skirmish level fleet action, the other variants like rpg and large scale more rule heavy are being written, (I know I am writing one version,) are being developed. The version with the KS are simple to play, they play well, and its a fun little game. However this time more importantly the project is small and easier to manage. |
