One of the things that I really like is gaming mats and surfaces. If space is limited, you like modularity or you are on a budget, then paper and card tiles make for a great option for wargames (as well as RPGs). Black Scrolls Games is running a Kickstarter for three new sets of gaming tiles. One is for Fortresses, one is for Castles and the other is for Cities. I wrote an article about the campaign on Must Contain Minis.
