This August I had the honor to be one of the liaisons for Battlefront's Firestorm Campaign: Red Thunder. The really awesome folks at Battlefront sent out a couple of nice goodies as a "thank you" to us. We got a pretty cool Red Thunder t-shirt and this!

So as you can see, the EM-50 is real enough! It's an objective and it comes with the big sarge holding on for dear life and a certain goofball of Saturday Night fame decked out a Russian uniform.

Pretty cool!

Hmmm. I thought those weren't deployed outside CONUS. Guess I'll have to go back and recheck the source docements.
(Yes, it's snark.)

"It's like going to Wisconsin"

Winger: C'mon, it's Czechoslovakia. We zip in, we pick 'em up, we zip right out again. We're not going to Moscow. It's Czechoslovakia. It's like we're going into Wisconsin.
Russell: Well, I got the Bleeped text kicked out of me in Wisconsin once. Forget it.
Russell: Do the words "Act of War" mean anything to you?
Winger: I have a plan.
Russell: Great! Custer had a plan.

Hey Saber6 someone got their ass kicked in Wisconsin.

yeah, well about that…

Okay, clearly I was wrong. I will say in all seriousness though, kudos to Battlefront for putting this out.

Battlefront's had some fun with tournament objectives over the years. They've released a few photos of this one painted as Stripes moves closer to release. And recently (possibly as part of the v4 Mid-War release), there was an Ark of the Covenant objective, iirc. Others over the years have been more "grounded", such as a German officer with his Mercedes.

So what would the thing's stats be in Team Yankee? It is probably a tank unit that can carry at least one stand for sure. 3-2-1 armor? Special Rule: Plot Armor (auto save from any hit on a 3+).

Lion in the Stars03 Dec 2017 12:12 a.m. PST

Nah, no armor at all, makes all saves on a 3+ like a recce jeep!

Wasn't another BF objective pack the Weinermobile (no, not the Oscar Meyer one, but a Bavarian driving a catering truck)?

Tgunner03 Dec 2017 5:05 a.m. PST

Yes, it was a hot food truck that showed up when NATO forces were in the field for FTXs.

I do believe I saw the EM-50 take small arms fire and keep trucking. It also had armor covers and plates that popped out. So it should at least have 1-2 points of armored IMO.

Small arms fire? At one point it takes a direct hit from an artillery piece on the side army and drives away with barely a scratch to the paintwork ;)

So Abrams scaled armor eh?

The secret of the Wiener War Wagon is the SRBM loaded into the rear wiener bulge. Suitable for bbq'ing a medium-sized enemy formation.
