Can anyone provide some high level comparisons between these two? Seems PoL is for a bit bigger game, and their armies reflect that. I'm looking at rule complexity, balance, formations, and magic involvement. (ie, is magic overpowering or too involved)

Just looking for a 15mm game that's fun, fairly quick to play, and keeps you wanting to play more. Oh, and keeps the rules BS to a minimum.

Mighty Armies allows for decent sized armies. i really enjoy the rules. Sorry, no idea about POL. I have seen it run and watched the game for a while. You can field larger armies than MA. l had the pleasure to see the demo game run by Splintered Light. really great looking game. Hobbit cavalry were awesome!
