We did demos all day today at Phantom of the Attic.
About a dozen people came in during the day to have a look at the games and see how they were playing and five people played in actual demo games so it went pretty well.

The store was almost out of Necromunda products by the end of the day but they were also having a 20% off Black Friday sale.

The games were pretty quick and pretty close. Two of them coming down to one ganger left on each side fighting it out with each other.

I hadn't played many games myself so running the games for others was a learning experience. Looking back through the rules and making sure I got them right forced me to learn them too.

We are probably going to find a day to do a campaign sometime in December, probably between Christmas and NYE.

A good time seemed to be had by all. Here are all of the pictures:

Nice pix. Glad to hear GW did a good job with this and that folks are enjoying it.

Man I am glad I kept my old metal figures. The newer plastics are nicer than the originals that came with the set, but those gangsters are taking some serious muscle juice. Are these 28s or did GW go with the 32s. Nice looking corridors too.

Looks fantastic! Nice job Scott

"those gangsters are taking some serious muscle juice."

They are. It is in the fluff. They are pumped up with growth stims and all kinds of other crap. They actually wear a harness that keeps them pumped full of stuff during the battles.

They are full of 'roid rage.

If they come out with a Genestealer cults gang I'm in.

Pictors Studio25 Nov 2017 12:01 p.m. PST

Isn't that the Delaques?

You can play Shadow War, that has the cults already.

Moonbeast25 Nov 2017 12:24 p.m. PST

I'm pretty sure the Delaques aren't Genestealer cultists, but I could be wrong as it's been a very long time since I last played. I still have my Delaques as well as my old metal Chaos cultists gang from way back when. I just wanted an excuse to pick up those Genestealer cultist minis and buy the new game.

The old game was great. Other than new plastic figures have the rules been improved somehow?

15mm and 28mm Fanatik25 Nov 2017 6:01 p.m. PST

The rules have been streamlined.

I have just now gotten around to cracking the rules open. At this point, all I have really taken note of is that ALL the interior artwork is garbage.

Did 2.0 only warrant attention from the interns? Did Blanche, so prominent in the first edition, do nothing at all for this one? That seems unlikely. And now I really Bleeped texting miss Wayne England.
