GW have published rules for Orlock, Cawdor, Van Saar and Delaque gangs on the Necromunda website.

They certainly aren't as extensive as the rules for Escher and Goliath but they look like they will certainly get you by for now.

And they are free.

They don't have rules for all of the heavy weapons that your models could have had, but they do have rules for heavy stubbers.

It's a start!

It's funny – at my local GW, the most anticipated gang is the Arbites.

That's weird- isn't that in the Gang War book?

I won't know for a few hours yet.

No, it's not. Gang War is pretty much just campaign, full terrain, and customizing Escher and Goliath gangs. There's no real expansion of weapons, but I think there's some new gear.

OK, well, I guess I just assumed it would be- though admittedly the page count isn't so high that I would expect a whole lot of whistles & bells (not to mention the relatively low price tag).

Thanks for the heads up on the "Gangs of Legend". I have been watching the Necromunda sit for an update on that.

There is a comment in the short PDF about classic gangs on the Equipment List that says …

Many of the classic Citadel Miniatures Necromunda Gangers carry some pretty heavy duty and flamboyant firepower.
At present, there is a very limited number of heavy weapons available in the new edition. This is deliberate, and more
heavy weapons will be introduced in future supplements. Such weapons are not readily available to fresh-faced rookie
gangs with no Reputation!

And this:

The list below is designed to enable players to create gangs from these Houses on a par with Escher and Goliath gangs. In time, all gangs will have heavier weapons made available to them.

So they look to be ramping back on the heavy weapons, at least initially. And that is a good thing I think.

From the few games I've played so far, heavy weapons need to be carefully introduced. It's a lot of fun to just have pistols and rifles, and the rare sorta-heavy. It lets the Gunfighter shine.

Back in the day the heaviest weapons we used were heavy stubbers and plasma guns. Didn't feel the need for much heavier than that.

Pictors Studio26 Nov 2017 6:16 p.m. PST

We never used anything heavier than heavy stubbers. They always did the job and much more cheaply and reliably than anything else.

So it looks like there will be Chaos and Genestealer cultist gangs for Necromunda appearing in articles in White Dwarf in the new year.

Another new gang in White Dwarf will consist entirely of bounty hunters.

There may be civilians coming from Forge World.
