Hello, I am building forces for the Sikh wars using the Foundry range, they don't list any Indian cavalry in the range but I am pretty sure there was some at Aliwal at least, would the Indian light cavalry figures from the Mutiny range be ok ? Thanks in advance for any input.

Dave,

There were Indian Regular and Irregular cavalry present at every battle of both Sikh Wars.

In a pinch, either Afghan War or Indian Mutiny cavalry would fit the bill, since the uniform colors did not change during that period.

Hope that helps,

Andrew

Thanks Andrew, just to be clear I am talking about Indian troops fighting against the Sikhs ? Can I field irregular cav and inf on the British side ?

Don't know whether it helps but the Old Glory range is one of their better ones and I happily field the OG Indian cavalry alongside my Foundry figures.

+1 Corto Maltese, excellent range.

YES, except there was never any Irregular Indian infantry in the Indian Army (not per se at least), but Irregular Cavalry regiments were most certainly employed.
