Which TMP member is the most helpful on the WWII boards? |
Tommy20 | 22 Nov 2017 9:41 p.m. PST |
R. Mark Davies/Jemima Fawr (by far). |

RMD, by a long shot. Which is why I wish he'd come back … |

Looking like a landslide. Fifthed. |
deephorse | 23 Nov 2017 6:17 a.m. PST |
RMD. No contest. Too many give fairly ill-informed opinions and not facts. RMD is head and shoulders above the rest. |
Cacique Caribe | 23 Nov 2017 7:46 a.m. PST |
What happened with him? Dan |
badger22 | 23 Nov 2017 7:50 a.m. PST |
RMD. Not just knowledge, but the ability to impart it without ruffling to many feathers. |
Cacique Caribe | 23 Nov 2017 8:28 a.m. PST |
Yes but why is he gone? Dan PS. I'm starting to sound like Jack Sparrow now. "Yes, but why is the rum gone?" |
deephorse | 23 Nov 2017 9:37 a.m. PST |
Had his account locked some time ago. |
Kungfucius | 23 Nov 2017 10:09 a.m. PST |
Bracken. His tutorials are really useful |
wizbangs | 23 Nov 2017 1:07 p.m. PST |
Piers. His work continues to inspire & amaze. |
Greg G1 | 23 Nov 2017 2:52 p.m. PST |
RMD. He is currently quite on the BattleFront Forum, he was writing the BattleFront: First Echelon rules. |

Mark 1 comes to mind. "Jemima Fawr" does not impress me. Too many foaming at the mouth posts when his political toes are stepped on. |
Wolfhag | 23 Nov 2017 9:08 p.m. PST |
I could not narrow it down to one: Just Jack, Blutarski, Mobius, Legion 4, Mark 1, McLaddie, UshCha, etehopi, John D Salt I'm not saying I agree with everything they post. Disagreement is helpful too. Unfortunately, I'm not familiar with the others mentioned. Wolfhag |

I miss my name sake. His knowledge on WW2 stuff was second to none. Always very helpful, just sad he isn't with us anymore on this forum. |
deephorse | 24 Nov 2017 2:25 a.m. PST |
"Jemima Fawr" does not impress me. Too many foaming at the mouth posts when his political toes are stepped on. Did you need to post that? We were nominating our "most helpful", not character assassinating those we don't care for. If that's what this topic is going to turn into then some of those newly mentioned have glaring flaws too. Should they be listed by name and fault? |

can someone advise what "accounts locked means" ie dormant, suspended or left the forum on their own accord ? |
Editor in Chief Bill | 24 Nov 2017 7:13 a.m. PST |
A locked account is one that has been closed by TMP staff, generally due to forum behavior problems. In some cases, people ask for their accounts to be closed. Also, Stifling a staff member automatically closes an account. |
Legion 4 | 24 Nov 2017 7:23 a.m. PST |
Thanks Wolf ! Didn't even think I was in the running ! |
Wolfhag | 24 Nov 2017 7:58 a.m. PST |
Legion 4, There are only a few that have "been there, done that" like you and Just Jack which is generally what I'm looking for when I ask for help. Opinions are nice but experience counts. Blutarski, John Salt, UshCha, Mobius and Mark 1 are a wealth of research knowledge and are always responsive. Wolfhag |
Legion 4 | 24 Nov 2017 8:04 a.m. PST |
Thanks again, Wolf ! And yes, I see and agree with your point … I too always advocate experience and training. |
Wolfhag | 24 Nov 2017 10:59 a.m. PST |
I forgot McLaddie, he's one of the only people I know that made enough $$ to support a family while designing games and simulations. He's one of the most knowledgeable I know for game theory, user interface and design. Wolfhag |

I'd just like to give a tip of the cap to all who have extended a helping hand when I had a question or needed some advice, regardless of period or topic. I've made some great strides in my gaming due to their unselfish contributions. |

Agree with Legion 4, Just Jack and John Salt. Joe |

Thanks Joe ! |

RMD, Piers Brand also, and RMD is pretty knowledgeable with Naps and the GdB Rules. I miss him but haven't caught up with him yet on the GdB forums. |
HidaSeku | 29 Nov 2017 4:47 p.m. PST |
Mark 1 would be my choice. |

Bracken you are one of the masters, both in painting and in teaching, and the time and skill spent in taking step by step pictures of your work deserve recognition. I paint 20mm, not 28mm, but your tutorials are the first resource I resort to when starting a new project |
bracken | 18 Mar 2019 2:22 a.m. PST |
Thanks Kungfucius, I'm planning on doing more unfortunately me and photobucket are not see eye to eye at the moment. So my blog will be taking centre stage for future projects Thanks again for your very kind words Cheers Russ |

Are we still running this poll? Tie between Mark1 and Piers Brand. Mark1 for organizational things and Piers for the artistic side of the hobby. |
