Hello again all,
Here are my latest scratch builds , A Bulk Hauler from an old Lima Diesel Train + either bottle cap wheels or scratch built tracks.
A Command IFV – wood , plastic , card etc
Half round corridors from PVC pipe & card. Enjoy

I'll post painted pics as soon as possible. I was looking at the possibility of using the new GW/Mantic pipes for 15mm by using only halves laid flat so as to have double the length then i decided to make my own. Draw loads of circles on card of pipe diameter.
Saw in half heavy duty pvc elbow along its length.
Glue to thick card or board.Best card i find is pill,toothpaste,clothing tabs etc boxes.Best cereal box material is the brown variety not grey due to texture etc.
Mark circles in halves & decide on general shape & pipe holes etc.
Cut to shape, drill pipe holes etc & glue.Embellish edges with card strips.
Use various thicknesses of galvanised and copper wire.Use outer pvc tube on electrical wire. Cut ladders from plastic window fly screen.
And above all have fun.😁😁😁 I thinking about the possibility/feasibility of casting them in foam or resin.Will keep you posted. Z |

I forgot to say that the pipes are part of a plan to do a modular 15mm Necromunda 2ft sq board made up of 6" sq peices.
These will have double sided 1 to 2" thickness, plain on one side and canals on the other.
The notches on top where done to take walkways(hence the ladders) so that they won't fall off. Z |

Here is an update.
I have an old train set which can be used for a frontier town.
Am thinking also of incorporating the tracks on the 15mm Necromunda board planning to do.
Lima trains have great potential , so if you find broken ones on ebay, they can easily converted. Am thinking also of doing a grav , hover or jet bases. One thing i found which is good for plates etc is the thin metal plate used sardine cans , can easily be cut & shaped ( the walking boards) & 5mm square Chicken wire fencing ( the rails). The bases are built from 3 ply wood, card & loads of plastic sprues. link

Tops. The frontier isn't going to be the same again 😁😁😁 That Darkest Star Spec Sec Bus is one such example that screams to be converted into such a vehicle.
