Hello everyone:

I am desperately trying to find at least one box of Wargames Factory Greek Hoplites. I know they've been out of production for a whole, since Warlord bought them out, but I really want them. For some reason, I am not able to post on the Ancients Marketplace, but I thought someone here could help. I will pay a fair price plus shipping. Please PM or email me at jrwarlock(at)gmailDOTcom.

Thank you for your help.

That flying saucer is an obvious fake. Everyone knows Nazi flying saucers were painted panzer gray. I suppose it could be a "booty saucer" captured from the Poles and not repainted yet, but you'd expect the German markings to be larger.

A nice job nonetheless.

Genius. Only a true artist could go from everyday junk to bizarre conclusion like that. You can't describe what you wanted to do, just do it and hope everyone gets it.

I believe that Die Glocke was painted the same dark green as many V-1 and V-2 rockets, and the Me-163. See these sources:

(If Encyclopedia Britannica has a picture of it in green, I'm sure there were green ones.)

("Camouflage colors were introduced to the A-4/V-2 during the middle of 1943 … SCHEME 2 – The Geflammt (Wavy) pattern, using only three colors: Cream White, Earth Grey and Olive Green.")

I always thought that the Die Glocke was shaped more like a bell than a saucer.

"Glocke" means "Bell" auf Deutsch.

Not that I could take any of this seriously, nor was it meant to be. But what a LOVELY McGuffin for a Wierd WWII or Pulp Fiction scenario!

There seems to be a crossed posting here.

The trans-posting is getting out of hand.

Is it me or is it happening to more posts nowadays, even though there aren't enough topics in the first page to create a traffic jam.
