Hey everyone! I was thinking of getting started in Napoleonic/War of 1812 era skirmish gaming. Think Horatio Hornblower. I was going to start off with the Hat British Marines/Sailors, plus maybe a pack of French line infantry and British rifles too. Possibly some Spaniards. Does anyone have any suggestions to create a set of generic forces that can be used in a variety of scenarios? I am not really that much of a button counter, but I respect those that are. Any input would be greatly appreciated! |

Oh yeah, I like to use plastic figures – I think the proportions are more realistic. Just a preference… |

Seeing you're not much of a "button counter", why not avoid history all together & go Napoleonic Imaginations? TMP link This will allow you to develop your own uniforms without fear of criticism & would be, I'd imagine, lots of fun developing a back story. I'm a bit too heavily invested in the actual history but would otherwise be tempted: TMP link (1/72 figures but bit bigger than a skirmish, I know) |
