"Epic warfare is an inescapable part of the Star Wars™ universe, and you can lead your troops to victory with Star Wars: Legion™, a two-player miniatures game of thrilling infantry battles in the Star Wars universe! As a miniatures game, Star Wars: Legion invites you to enter the ground battles of the Galactic Civil War as the commander of a unique army filled with troopers, powerful vehicles, and iconic characters. While innovative mechanics for command and control simulate the fog of war and the chaos of battle, the game's unpainted, easily assembled figures give you a canvas to create any Star Wars army you can imagine. Expected to release in early 2018"

Figures not the same scale as Imperial Assault, so you can't use those. Had they gone smaller (say the size of Battlelore 2E (or even 1E) you could have epic battles. but larger? That would be the not so epic scale. Still, I'll probably bite. I'm a sucker for Star Wars. |

I expected a game called "Legion" to need a few more figs in order to play. The AT-AT expansion is going to be mucho expensive. |

Apparently licensed miniature games require weird scales to make them incompatible. The new Doctor Who game, GW LOTR, and now Star Wars are examples. Yes I know that LOTR was 25mm but only so it would not work with other GW figures. |

Its a ruthless marketing ploy. Players should consider systems that allow multi-setting play, allow you to choose the best miniatures (price, detail, scale) for your purposes and do not charge for constant revisions and ever inflating armies/special powers. WargamesVault is a good place to find them. But like Charlie Brown we keep trying to kick that football – even though of course we know what the final result will be….as do the FASA and GW Lucys. I think they are releasing too many scales at the same time. Why wouldn't they want crossover between Imperial Assault models & Legion. I understand not wanting to use the wizkids models (which I do, and will for this game), but they own both of the new sets. Ridiculous! |

Why do you want the same scale: so you can use your existing figures for the game. Why FFG is changing scales: so you can't use you existing figures for the game. Agree or not, there's no real mystery. |
