Earlier this week I saw a post about the miniatures from the aborted ST Axanar movie going up for sale. Now the post is no where to be found. What happened?

Check studio Bergstrom. I believe they are your go to source.

Maybe Paramount found it.

Actually, Parzival, I think the closing of the Axanar store was part of the settlement….

A friend of mine got the Axanar minis some time back and they look great.

I suspect they got reported to CBS. The 1500+ page trekbbs axanar complaint thread was quite up in arms about it for example. The day after the annoucement Studio Bergstrom posted a pic of someone with their head up their butt and labelled it an IP lawyer while simultaneously removing all mention of it from the internet.

That's nonsense! Does Paramount own those designs? No! Therefore they should be allowed to sell them in miniatures, print, model kits, whatever! This is just more corporate IP thuggery.

Captain Gideon17 Nov 2017 8:31 a.m. PST

Mutant Q I agree with you 100% since these designs were never used by CBS/Paramount/NBC in any form the ships should be sold.

Not that simple…

Take the Ares – it uses components that would be recognizable to the layperson as being the same or very close to Star Trek designs.

If I took an X-Wing, added canards and took off the wingtip guns, is it a new design?

Not saying the Axanar stuff shouldn't be sold, but the lawyers and courts would invariably have to have a say.
