According to this website there is no record of when the Danish naval ensign was adopted but it was a long time ago.

This Danish picture of the Battle of Copenhagen in 1801 would suggest that you're fine with that one.

The reference cited explicitly notes that the color of the nasal ensigns (etc) is a deeper red (i.e., closer to crimson) than the usual scarlet of the Dannebrog; interesting!
