Since Warlord plastic 28mm Naps seem to vary in size a bit from box to box can anyone tell me how their late French infantry boxes compare with Front Rank or Calpe in size?

Also how do their new Prussian Landwehr compare with the old in size? I haven't seen any comparison pics for these yet.

Warlords Late French is nice, it's one of their better Napoleonics kits IMHO. I have both them and Front Rank in my collection, Front Rank is a bit beefier but otherwise they are compatible.

Thanks, I'm contemplating using the Warlord figures as cannon fodder and pimping the battalions with Calpe and Front Rank figures. The Calpe and FR Prussians work well together so I guess if the FR French will work then the Calpe will too.

I use front rank for my light infantry, as I want the hessian boots and everything, and warlord and perry plastic for my line infantry. But I don't have any Calpe to compare with. If you want photo comparison I can take some later today.

That sounds like a good plan. The Warlord figures are good for bulking up an army quickly and cheaply.

There are a couple of comparison photos with Front Rank and others here…
