Can anyone do a compare/contrast between these models and can they be mixed and matched? I am primarily interested in RAF bombers and Luftwaffe night-fighters.

I do like that the Collectair site has pictures of most of the models and they certainly look very nice.

For my German night fighters I have a mix of Scotia Grendel and Heroics & Ros.
Me110G – Scotia
Ju88G – Scotia
Do217N – H&R
He219 – H&R
Me110C – H&R

There seems to be no visual difference in size, the only difference is that Scotia has deeper engraved canopies.

Very helpful: thank you.

What do you use for the RAF?

I have Lancasters, Halifaxes and Wellingtons. All Scotia. Generally I think Scotia is more consistent in their lines, scaling and detail.

I have been collecting 1/300 1/285 scale aircraft for some time. Scotia is good but so is MSD (there Luftwaffe 1946 line. Theses include many of the British and German aircraft you would be interested in.

I also like the never builds (aircraft that were designed of maybe even in testing but did not get into production.

How is the service from Scotia?

Scotia generally has better sculpts and some of the H&R models suffer from crooked wings. However Scotia doesnt scribe the under sides of the wings if that bothers you. I've got painted photos of some of the German Nightfighters here (excuse the messed up website)
