This is my official tickler to get my buddies in tidewater to chime in and start the chatter…The Muster is just around the corner! The word is out on their Facebook page that the Williamsburg Muster is scheduled and in the planning stage. Dates given are Feb. 16-18, 2018. The site is a Clarion on Richmond Road, just a block from the former location, and practically next door to a CiCi's Pizza buffet place…woohoo!!

Last year was a tough year for the guys, with changing venues and dates, but the convention planners persevered and found a great time and place. I for one am ecstatic that it's back to February, and in a newly remodeled hotel to boot. I have always felt that a regional convention, that time of year, was a great idea. The weather is usually not too bad in this area in February…we even had some high 70s days this past February…and the Virginia peninsula area has so much to offer for visitors. Colonial Williamsburg, even the free walking access, is a real treasure in this area; there are historical sites galore, and there are lots of activities for the family.

I hope this stimulates the guys to post more official info about the con…thanks to Chuck, Justin, Paul, and all the others involved in the effort…time to rally the troops for the Williamsburg Muster!

Thanks, for the reminder.

Eh? The Clarion IS the former location. Which is all to the good as far as I'm concerned. I always rather liked the old location. The Clarion's initial reviews were pretty brutal, but it looks like they may have sorted things out.

CiCis down the block? You got an Outback 2 doors down.

Let's see. We have Barrage in January. The Muster in February. Cold Wars in March and the Weekend is now in April.

Can anybody say FAT CITY?

Better check the website. Half the dates on it are February. Half are from last May.

Very happy to see you guys still endeavoring to persevere.

The former location was the Holiday Inn-Patriot, which was sold or torn down or something. Yep, pizza buffet and Outback…does it get much better??

Yes, I have heard they are working on getting the website info straight, but I got it straight from one of the key organizers that the dates are Feb 16-18.

Four months, four cons…we should start some tour-date t-shirts!

What is "The Weekend" ? I am not familiar with that one.

The Patriot Holiday Inn closed for renovations, got bought, and reopened as the Clarion. Go to their website and take the virtual tour, it's deja Vu all over again.

Re the Weekend, it's the brainchild of TMPer Ottoathome. Do a message board search for "Weekend" and author "Ottoathome" and you'll get the whole deal.
